A living religious order, custodian of Orthodox Armanism.
Who we are
The Holy Armanen Order is a living religious order and an educational community. We are custodians of Orthodox Armanism, the true, traditional and ancient Armanism that Meister Guido von List wrote about extensively, and which continues in our own time. It is a complete tradition of religion, science and law, and the work of the Runes is one part of it. Once driven underground by the oppression of the church, it is now practiced openly. We honor Meister Guido von List, Der Meister, as a great teacher and master of this tradition. He taught and wrote about it extensively; he is not its source. The Order is not affiliated with any other group using the Armanen name.

For years the Holy Armanen Order has taught and practiced Orthodox Armanism, quietly and in person. This site is our home online. Here you will find the tradition as we have received it: its religion, its science and its law, set out in order and open to every sincere student.
You do not need to believe anything to begin. You need only to be sincere, to study with care, and to practice. Come, read, and see for yourself.

Who may take part
We are inclusive and open to all sincere students, of every background and origin. Entry into the Halgadom is by written inquiry and is never purchased.
What we hold
Religion, science and law as one tradition: the Wihinei, the ancient, primordial language-religion; the pursuit of knowledge; and Rita, the ordering law of the world. And no dogma: you are never asked to believe, only to practice and to know.
Roles in the Order
- HüterThe custodian and director of the Order. Oversees initiation and ordination.
- ArmanAn ordained teacher who leads a Halgadom, a working circle of the Order.
- Kamanen (Vitkar)Initiated Rune workers who practice and serve within a Halgadom.
- ArmanenschaftThe community of the ordained Armanen.
- ArmanenvolkThe Armanen people: laypeople who study and practise with the Order.
The Halgadom
A Halgadom is a working circle of the Order. The Global Halgadom is our online community of practice, open to every sincere student wherever they live. To take part, write to us. Entry is by written inquiry and discernment, and it is never purchased.
Formation
Initiation and ordination come through formation: completed study, practice and ethics, an internship under an active Arman, and evaluation, recommendation and approval by the Order’s ordained Armanen. They are earned, never bought, and no one is turned away for inability to pay. Read about the Path.
Ethics and conduct
Members are forbidden to practice anything that harms another person. The Order rejects racism and every form of political extremism, and has no connection to any political movement. Spiritual counsel is offered in confidence; the only exceptions are where the law requires a report, above all to protect children. Rune practices and spiritual guidance are not a substitute for medical or psychological care.
